Baptism Lesson Activities

Lesson Materials:

Flip-Up Instructions:

Step 1:

Print out a copy of the Flip-Up file below.

Step 2:

Color the Pictures on the second sheet.

Step 3:

Cut out the colored objects. Be sure not to cut off the tabs along the edges.

Step 4:

Match the objects up with their explanations gluing ONLY the tabs onto the highlighted areas.

Step 5:

Flip the pictures to read about their symbolism or importance in the sacrament of Baptism.

Shell Craft Instructions:

Step 1:

Print out a copy of the PDF below that contains the bible verse for the craft.

Step 2:

Cut along the solid lines to make a pile of small rectangular verses.

Step 3:

Make sure that you have one shell for every verse.

Step 4:

Decorate and glue the verse onto the back part of the shell to finish up this quick keepsake craft.

Baptism Bingo Instructions:

Step 1:

Print out your copies of the notes as well as both of the game materials using the PDFs below.

Step 2:

Cut out the BINGO pieces along the dashed lines.

Step 3:

Randomly glue the pieces into the boxes on your BINGO board. You can just throw out the extra pieces.

Step 4:

Label the questions sheet as heads and the bingo verses sheet as tails. Flip a coin and select a verse or question depending on which side the coin landed. For example if you flip heads, you could ask "which word means to wash with water?" Conversely, if you get tails you could say "Acts 2:38." The kids will find it on their boards and cover it with a sticker or dot. Make sure you cross them out after you finish.

Step 5:

Continue to do this until someone gets BINGO. You may ask them to call out their BINGO to verify that they answered the questions correctly if you decide not to answer them as a class. At this point you could give out prizes and keep playing until someone gets blackout (this happens when one kid has covered up their entire board).
