John 21:15-19 DIY Puffy Paint Activity

Materials:

printer + paper
pencils
large mixing bowl
spatula
shaving cream
bottled glue
paper towels
paint brushes
flour
small containers to hold the paint
food coloring (gel or drops)

Instructions:

Step 1:

Print out your copies of the Worksheet. I would not recommend printing on both sides so that you can work on the worksheet while the artwork dries.

Step 2:

Mix equal parts of glue and shaving creme in a large mixing bowl.

Step 3:

Split the mixture up into smaller containers for each color that you want to make. Add a small amount of flour and food coloring. Have the kids mix them, or mix them on your own. Don't forget to leave some white in the large bowl to fill in the wool.

Step 4:

Once you finish mixing, you should have an assortment of colors like shown below. Grab a brush for each color.

Step 5:

Paint the graphics on the page using your puffy paint. Leave it out to dry for 24 hours.

Step 6:

Put the remaining puffy paint into some jars to take home.

Step 7:

Seal the jars and put them in the fridge to use later on in the week. From my experience, it lasts for about 2 days afterwards.
