Our Good Shepherd Activities
Materials:
- paper plate
- glue
- black construction paper/cardstock
- googly eyes
- cotton balls
- scissors
- markers
- white marker or crayon
- printer & paper (for the other activities)
- clear tape & crayons (for the wristbands)

Sheep Craft Instructions:
Cut around the perimeter of the paper plate to remove the bumpy outer portion.
Write the verse from Psalm 23:1 onto the circle you cut out previously.
Flip the circle over and glue cotton balls on top of it. Make sure to stretch the cotton balls apart before gluing them to give the sheep a more blended look.
Cut out the limbs and head from a sheet of black construction paper. Glue them on top of the layer of cotton balls when you are finished.
Lastly, add the eyes and nose to the head. I decided to add a bow to mine. some of the kids made bowties or collars. Get creative!
Good Shepherd Maze:
This activity is a fun way to show kids that Jesus seeks after us when we go astray. The objective is the follow the line from the beginning to the end to lead the shepherd to his lost sheep.
Sing a Song:
I would reccomend the Baa Baa song as a resource that you could include in your lesson. You can find a music video with the lyrics on youtube. My class enjoyed singing along to it and watching the cute little sheep as we worked on our paper plate craft.
Make Your Own Wristbands:
This is a very easy craft for all ages. All you have to do is print out the PDF below, cut it into strips, decorate, and add a layer of tape to connect/protect it.
